CouchSurfing and Brisbane

We have been lucky enough to Couch Surf with an awesome couple called Tom and Megs. Their flat is in a really nice Brisbane suburb 3 stops on the tube from Central Station. Ideal!!

They have a wealth of travel experience, especially South East Asia which was obviously very useful!! Thank you to them, and sorry that our Falafal Burgers didn't turn out quite as planned!

This was a great base to explore the city. We opted to download an audio self guide app which gave us a very thorough walking experience of the city. Emma and I particularly enjoyed learning about Brisbanes vital role in WW2, especially after the bombings of Pearl Harbour and Hobart. An Afghanistan pop-up museum was also really interesting, as well as the Anzac Gardens.

We definitely want to return to Brisbane, Emma's favourite Australian city. There is so much to see and 3 days barely scratches the surface. We didn't even get to try our luck in a Texas Holdem tournament in the Treasury Casino!!

Now our time in Australia has come to an end and we are flying to Singapore! 3 months down, 3 to go. We literally can't control our excitement for South East Asia!
