So here we are in Auckland. Landed yesterday and got to the youth hostel around 1300 in our el cheapo car! :D So after and shower and a chill out we went into the city centre to take a look around. We took a trip up the sky tower (the tallest building in Auckland) to the sky deck for a 360 degrees view of the city. From there you can see the 20 ('40 for the trained eye) something volcanos that inhabit Auckland. Headed back to the youth hostel at around 1830 to grab some food and sort out things for the next few days. Upon seeing the bed we decided to have a quick nap as the jet lag was setting in. That nap lasted for 12 hours!!! We woke up at 0700 this morning still in yesterday's clothes having missed dinner!!

Today we are hiring some bikes and ridding round the city and stopping at the Auckland museum. Later on we are driving to coromandel for our first night camping! Ciao for now!! Emma and Alec xxx
